Residencies
FTHo offers a rare and valuable opportunity: a place to live, work and engage with the public while being mentored or closely supported by the curatorial and education staff. Living and working in the house-sculpture fosters research-led projects and experimentation by allowing a long-term engagement, the result is often significant site-specific work. A residency is always a two-way process for us, bringing new and exciting perspectives for FTHo and the living archive.
Residencies are assigned through open calls and invitations. Please check the site regularly for open calls.

Constellations - Artist Open Call October 2017 - May 2018
Flat Time House is delighted to launch the open call for Constellations, an exciting opportunity for artists to join a new working group at FTHo created in collaboration with UP Projects.
Taking the form of a working group - a small assembly of people brought together to study a situation or problem, reporting on what has been discovered –Constellations will give six artists the opportunity to come together to study socio-political contexts as the site for their artistic practice.
Running from October 2017 – May 2018, the group will explore different methods and approaches to artistic research and community-orientated practice, through a series of day-long monthly workshops hosted at Flat Time House. Each session will be led by an invited guest, the first four guests include; Ain Bailey, Jasleen Kaur, Rory Pilgrim and Rehana Zaman – the other workshop guests will be invited by the group.
This opportunity is open to artists based in the UK and all six artists will receive a £500 fee for taking part on the programme.
Deadline: 14th August 2017
Programme start date: October 2017
